Nikon may have just had a huge cat get out of the bag. Leaks like this don’t happen very often; however, they do happen. If this info, which was posted on a Czech forum is legit, Nikon’s rumor mill is going to be rather boring for the next couple of years.

2 out of 3 to Trinity!
next will be the N14-24 f2.8 OR perhaps the N17-35 f2.8
goodbye to the Nikkor AFD 80-200 f2.8, hope u are happy with ur new owner, YC.

You are an awesome lens! cheers!
time for me to move on to the AFS 70-200 f2.8 VR.
seriously woonder if i shud get the white/grey ones...
sure gonna stick out like a blardy canon L lens. wonder if it get dirty or markings easily?..
hmmmm.. or shall i simply stick to the menacing black one?!
selling off my ADF 80-200mm f2.8 and the latest craze or rather itch dat hits me... LOL. a white/grey AFS 70-200mm VR!! i am a canon wannabe!!
here's a funny thought... i have met another photog some time last week & learn dat he is beginning to take up photography & from the D60.. he made the jump to a used D2x.. he is very happy with it. cos its a PRO body & it only cost him lesser than 2K. Then on another incident, i met up with another elderly guy & he too is using the D2x & he swears upon it. he too got a used body for below 2K... then i started to ask myself... is D2x really such a great camera body??
shud i downgrade from D700 to a D2x?? or shud i use D2x as a spare body for DX format?
last nite while surfing in a local photog forum, i saw some1 selling a used D2x for $1.7K. i made him an offer of $1.5K. so far he hasn't reply yet.. lets see how things goes...
perhaps its good for me to downgrade? :)

Testing out my old nikkor 55mm AIS micro lens. This old lens is still a beauty afterall... result is very amazing.
i guess there are many version of this clip...
This one is about Hitler & Nikon D3x
Simply cant wait for any longer & i guess i am impulsive in getting my lens range up to 200mm.
Wanted the 70-200mm VR very badly but its price is just too much, thus my other option was to get the Sigma 70-200. But then after speaking to Leslie abt the sigma, he strongly reccomend me that i could spent half the amount & get a lens dats jus as good (if not better & sharper). its the 4th gen of the nikkor 80-200mm f2.8 lens. its non VR & it starts from 80mm rather than 70mm BUT its for half the price!!
After hearing from him, i got back to office & check on reviews on this lens. there are quite alot of good reviews on it & comparing to the 70-200 VR. it has lesser fall-off & no or little vignette issue. & this really seems like a great catch for half the price!
then i made a few calls to the usual shops dat i frequent to check the pricing.. indeed, this lens is abt 1.2K cheaper. so i headed down to the shop with the lowest quote & the rest is pretty much history...

the Nikkor AF 80-200mm f/2.8D ED... is mine!
alright.. now is the time to Stop Buying & Start Shooting!!! =)

damn its a monster!!! D700 + Batt grip + 24-70 + SB900.
D700 with batt = 1kg
batt grip = 500g
24-70 lens = 1kg
sb900 = 600g
dats a whopping 3.1kg!!! damnz dats one heavy beast setup!

currently have the 105mm & 55mm manual lenses.

actually this is only at 21mm focal.. cos if i were to get anything wider, there is horrible vignetting. time to source for a super slim & low profile 77mm CPL. LOL.
buybuybuy =)

latest additional to my lense collection for my D700 is the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 D. but why f1.8 & not 1.4? haha cos i am on budget, a f1.4 will cost almost $400 for a 2nd hand & i jus want a 50mm prime for the sake of "having it handy".
well & on top of this i realized that i have heaps of 52mm HOYA filters left to me from the fSLR days. i still have the skylight(11B), cir-polarizer, softerner, 4pt cross-star, orange (UV), blue(UV), blue grad, haze & even the 3+ close-up. gosh i din realized i had so many 52mm filters stashed in my dry cabi! LOL.

Neway stay tune for more 50mm shots in the near future.
Ciao!

Taken with my previous D70 in 2005, Feb 01.

This shot of the merlion was rather fantastic to me back then but now looking at it, it does seems pretty bad. LOL, perhaps i tink i can do better with the D700 now.
So most likely i am gonna do the Fullerton/Merlion/Esplanade route again & try out on the D700 & see how's the result this time.
Stay tune for some upcoming pics soon.
=)
oh no.. not the swine-flu. but i am infected with the buying bug to gear up my lenses now.
damn! i know it coming.. & in no time i will end up with lenses dat i rarely use.
i am still pondering if i need a 50mm prime lens.. or shall i go for the 35mm prime..
hmmm.. then i saw this damn cool 50mm f1.4G nikkor lens on a fren's D3. i was literally drooling... deep in my mind, i was screaming "I WANT THIS!!!"... awwww sh!t, i am so jealous & envious!

or shall i wait for a Prime 35mm FX lens ??
jialat!
